Domain selling advice please

I have a number of domains to sell. They have been listed on Afternic for quite a while now with absolutely no interest.
Now it could be that my domains which are .co.uk, are not as interesting a prospect as I thought they were or it could be that Afternic is no longer the place to sell domain names.
Anyone have any knowledge of Domain selling and can make suggestions as to the best place to sell please.

I would imagine it is that they are of no commercial value to anyone, or of such low value that no one is bothering to look. Very few domains hold any real value, even less so since legal cases made domain squatting pretty much pointless.

The truth is, if someone wants to buy your domain they'll get in touch.

    Oh dear, how depressing.
It would be nice to have a ray of hope with an answer to the original question.
Looking around, the other suggested seller is SEDO.

GoDaddy Auction, SEDO, eBay and NameCheap are probably the biggest domain marketplaces but the vast majority dont sell and those that do are often for under the registrations fee... its one of the few areas of eBay you cannot see completed listings, probably because they dont want to show the low success rate.

You have to be very lucky to own something that someone wants... I did make money on one domain once but that was because it contained IP for two companies that had a long running dispute (unknown to me), I'd gotten permission from the UK company to use their trademark but the US company was sending cease and desist letters. Ultimately decided to give up on the idea for the website and the two companies offered to buy the domain off me.

If you have something someone wants then they'll approach you for it directly or via a broker (have done this too), doesn't have to be advertised as up for sale. Your chances of having something that no one knows they want but suddenly realise they do when randomly being promoted to it is slim.

Assume you have a holding page stating its for sale?   How many visitors does the page get each day?

That should give you a clue.

Thank you for the latter comments, appreciated.
The websites were with AWS but now not hosted, so I do not think a holding page is possible?
They are on 123.reg which as I understand it, is now owned by goDaddy, whose domain valuation tool was used for an idea of valuation.
    Quite high value still for...........
    www.cointrader.co.uk
    www.cointraders.co.uk
Lower values for the other 8 I have.
but after 3+ months not even a view on afternic.

123 Reg used to offer a holding page but it's been years since I last looked.

Domain valuing tools are worthless, they give an inflated number often then with links to buy services to sell the domain which you clearly wouldn't pay for if they claimed your domain was worth $5. Personally would put the plural as a much lower value than the non-plural.

Ultimately your domain name has a clear target market rather than being a generic potential "brand". You may be get better results by specifically going out and targeting potential buyers rather than waiting for them to randomly check if someone is selling a domain.

The fact that CoinTrader.com is for sale isn't going to help you at all as many would rather a .com and .co.uk clearly has geographical limits.

I just looked up cointrader.com but don't think it is the same league as DAN are looking for $590,000.00 for it.
Tend to agree that cointrader should be a more attractive option than cointraders.
