PIP Review Form

Can the PIP review form 1043 be filled in online is there any PDF format I can download?
Also if asking for an extension how long do they normally give and how many times can you ask, if you have problems getting a cab appointment in time for some help with the form.

I have heard that extensions of up to 6 months can be granted but I believe that's a month at a time.  It may be a case of you going to the local CAB office to get an appointment, getting there when they open and waiting to see someone on the day.  It will depend on how busy your local office is and how available someone is who deals with PIP appeals as it does take a bit of skill.

    Good luck!

One thing, once you send it back. It's a long wait. Mrs was sent back in end of Jan. Just had a 3rd text advising we have got the forms & will get round to them soon. As well as a letter saying her payments are extended to November 2025...

Really confidence inspiring that they will ever get round to it. Talk about money saving.
So having a complaint to MP about this & also that they should be backing dating any increase in payments back to date of forms being received.

Was another post the other day where it had taken a year.

It's coming up to 11 months since I returned my form. I've had a few texts in that time but nothing middle of August.

Pretty much the same for me for a review, have just had a text saying a decision has been made and I will find out within 2 weeks. The fact they haven't spoken to me of asked for further information is hopefully a positive as it was my 3rd review

Based on my personal experience I was given just 2 weeks extra to return the form. There's a guide here that may help.

Be sure to treat it as a new claim, even if there's been no changes to your health conditions. Please do not just write no change and nothing else.

I've never heard of a 6 month extension.

The normal is 2 weeks as poppy states.

Very, very unlikely that your Cit A office will be able to see you 'on the day' to complete the form. There is a huge demand on their services, and completing a PIP form is a lengthy appointment (with consequent writing up for the adviser).

    OP -

I'd suggest looking at your local advice charities web site, which will have contact details (email, telephone), let them know the date due back, and be politely persistent.

If you have a printer, you could always type up sheets to include with the form that fully explain how and why you meet the criteria for the PIP descriptors. If you have a copy of your original form, and know the current points awarded that's a good start.

As poppy says - treat it like a new claim and give full details of the difficulties you have doing the PIP activities reliably on the majority of days.

No. You can type your answers on sheets of paper as Alice advised and print them off. If you do this make sure you state which question the answer refers to. Don't forget to put your name and NI number on everything you send.
