My golf club may go into liquidation – I have paid an annual subscription on credit card from April 24 to April 25 – do you think this would be covered by a credit card refund?

Phoenix. The golf club could literally return same day under a different trading name, and continue as if nothing has happened.
Sorry, I didnt know which of these terms you didnt understand so did both.1 -

The Phoenix company would have bought the assets of the golf club - they wouldn't take on any of the golf club's liabilities.
The OP's membership rights would generally be treated as a liability. So the Phoenix company wouldn't be required to honour the OP's membership rights.
(e.g. They could legitimately say something like this to the OP "If you want to continue playing golf here, you'll need to sign up for a new membership, and pay a new membership fee.")
But on the other hand, the Phoenix company might voluntarily agree to honour some/all of the OP's membership rights without any payment, as a gesture of goodwill, to help build-up their business reputation amongst the local golfing community.

Should be a simple chargeback if they go under.
