If he can’t get onto the app, has he tried emailing them? support@anna.money

If you look at their reviews, there’s a few people saying they’ve had their accounts suspended. If something has happened, which has led them to suspect fraud or money laundering they are not able to give a reason while they investigate. That is the same with any bank - although they aren’t  a bank, they do have to follow FCA rules.  He may just have to wait it out.

  • Yes he has emailed them and still gets the same automated response every time.

Other options - make a complaint then take it to the financial ombudsman? He would need to make it clear he is making a formal complaint as per their policy.

The user @Emmah91 has not been active on the forum since Oct 8, 2024, either make your own thread or follow the advice above - complain to the firm and sent to the FOS if you don't get a satisfactory resolution

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
