What is the debt, credit card, loan?
When was it taken out?
The answer to those 2 will help.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.1 -
Yes providing it is a Consumer Credit Act debt, now is a good time to do a formal request.
If they can comply, then you are clear to do whatever your strategy is1 -

Did the original creditor issue a default? It'll be on one of your credit records. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing1

You can do a request multiple times if you need to, just not more than once a month.
It makes sense to check it's enforceable before you start paying Lowell anything.
I can't say Lowell never sell debts on but they seem to either let them die or start court action through Overdales1 -
Lowell tend to keep the debts they buy, and not sell them on, so if its with them now, its likely to stay with them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
