Lloyds Bank motor claims, praise.

Somebody drove into the back of my car on Saturday when I was stopped at traffic lights. A company called Carpenters handles their motor claims. The lady I spoke to was brilliant and caring, although I told her that there was no obvious damage to the car or injury to either myself or my wife, other than a slightly sore neck for my wife. The company called back today to enquire about my wife and said they will call again on Friday to ensure that the discomfort is only temporary. Great service. Insurers often get bad press, so deserve praise when they are getting things right.

Search on here... Carpenters get even worse press than insurers do... they are an accident management firm these days more than the solicitors they used to be. A number of sellers of insurance will sell pass non-fault cases to an accident management firm for the referral fee rather than deal with them in-house where they cannot recover their staff costs etc1

@DullGreyGuy I can only speak as I find, and they have been very good in my experience.

Of all the panel solicitors that insurers use Carpenters of late seem to get the most bad press on here but glad your experience has been more positive so far.0 -
@DullGreyGuy This comment is nothing about fee earners. I'm referring to the person I spoke to when reporting the incident and the person who called today to check that my wife was OK. I could certainly tell some horror stories about a fee earner at the legal support company used by another insurance company!!

One Sunday evening someone rang our doorbell. It was an ambulance driver (not emergency, delivering a patient). He had accidentally scraped the side of our car. He had a copy of the NHS insurance and they arranged for the car to be repaired and to lend us another car while this was being done. Their rule is they have to offer a “like for like” car. Ours was a 20 year old Lexus and they didn’t have one of those so gave us a virtually new Mercedes. As we didn’t work (both retired) we made good use of it and lots of short trips. When we got ours back we decided we much preferred our dear old Lexus over a nearly new Mercedes. They did a brilliant job of mending it as well. So, if anyone gets into an accident with an ambulance, no matter how small it is let’s hope their experience is as good as ours was0
