EDF - Current tariff prices different on app vs bill
I always keep an eye out for the best tariffs. I check regularly to see if I can save vs current.
There is something strange with the comparison section. On my bill, prices are far cheaper than what it says when checking my tariff on the app.
i use to app to compare what I currently pay vs another tariff. But this is giving me me wrong information, and also could be giving others the same and fooling them into getting a cheaper tariff when in fact its more expensive!

The clue is on the bill: Prices do not include VAT unless otherwise noted.3

Take the rates on your bill x1.05 and you'll get the prices on the comparison section.
All prices aimed at domestic customers, who will not be VAT registered, will always be shown gross.2 -

Yes one states includes, the other says excluded unless otherwise..
EOn used to send my smart meter tariff ex vat for a year or so.
So matched bill tariff tables - but before that the meter didn't even add SC to daily cost either. Making prices even less useful.
I tend to only track kWh for comparisons year on year anyway.
But use daily weekly prices to calculate my peak off peak unit splits rather then poking outside meter regularly.
I've often wondered why they don't add vat to tariff tables on domestic bills - not like we can avoid paying it.
