MotoNovo and Credit File

Morning all, I need some advice. On July 6th I agreed to a PCP agreement with Car360 with finance provided by MotoNovo. However, 2 days later, having taken the car for a second test drive ahead of purchase I noticed a problem with it so promptly cancelled the sale. Car360 were great and acted accordingly, agreeing to cancel the deal and the credit agreement. A few days letter I received a letter from MotoNovo providing a clearance letter for the loan.
Fast forward to my August credit update and the MotoNovo loan appeared on my credit score, owing £29,000. I contacted them and asked why this had been added, as the loan agreement was cancelled and no payments were ever made. They confirmed this would disappear from my credit score.
I have been in touch with them 4 times since chasing updates and as of today - 7th October, the loan agreement is still showing on my credit file. I have been in touch with Equifax who have responded to say it is to be resolved between myself and MotoNovo.
Please can anyone advise next steps to get this agreement removed from my credit file? It is currently affecting me being able to take out a loan for a replacement car as it is showing as money owed.
