Credit report and wrong electoral role/linked address.

I have been having trouble getting a credit card recently which has never happened before and so checked my report today.
Under electoral role/linked addresses, there is linked to my account the address my mother in law used to live at and when I expand that, it actually has her listed under the address (which is correct) but it's on my credit record.
I have never lived at this address and didn't even know her at the time it's listed as her living there. It looks like they have put her record on my report in error?
Could this be the reason that I'm being declined and how do I fix this?

Raise a dispute with the relevant CRA, there will be a link to click to do this, and ask them to remove the information as its incorrect.
Check the other two CRA`s as well, you may have to rinse and repeat.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Odd. I've never noticed there were addresses attached to the individual creditor items on a credit report. Must have a closer look. I do know that you will likely get a lot of related people addresses - people who have lived at your address in the past, people who have or do live at your previous addresses, people who have a similar name.
The other credit report I use is Transunion.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Both have the address under electoral role info, like I've registered as living there, but it's my mother in law who has.
Turns out she has the same middle name as my first name so hers (as an example) is like Samantha Emma Smith and mine is Emma Smith. I can maybe see how it's got on there, but hopefully they will correct it now. I have raised a dispute.
The address definitely wasn't on there last time I checked the file.0 -
Equifax fixed that very fast, just waiting on Experian now. They don't have such a good system for monitoring your dispute.. unless of course you pay for an account 😑0
