Received PCN from Euro Car Parks in 2021.
Purchased ticket for 2 hours, overstayed 30 minutes.
Received LoC from DCB Legal in July 2024, replied with template response.
Received Claim Form this week in Civial National Business Centre for £300. Will do Acknowledgement of Service within the 14 days, and submit defence within 28.
PoCs:

Looking for advice on my paragraph 3 of coupon-mad's defence template, with paragraph 2 admitted keeper and driver. All other paragraphs unchanged.
3. The Defendant had visited the Light cinema to watch a film, and parked in the car park outside the cinema. The Defendant purchased a valid parking permit for a duration of two hours. Upon finishing the movie, the Defendant immediately returned to the vehicle and left the car park.
Should I include anything regarding:
- The duration of overstay?
- Grace period?
- Films usually being less than two hours?
Thanks

And the issue date on the claim form is. ?
If the driver paid to park it wasn't an overstay, it was insufficient payment for time on site, the extra 30 minutes wasn't purchased at any point, no extra time was bought, not even before leaving
If films are less than 2 hours, with all the extra faff and delays then purchasing 3 hours would have covered the time on site
Grace periods are never 30 minutes, more like ten minutes
Buy 3 hours and the problem does not occur
So IMHO, no to those extra details2 -
Issued 2nd October

With an issue date of 2nd October, you have until Monday 21st October to submit your AoS. Having submitted the AoS, you then have until 4pm on Monday 4th November to submit your defence. There is nothing to be gained by delaying the AoS.
Your suggested para #3 for the defence is enough. Don't waste any effort on it. This WILL be discontinued early next year.
Here is simple generic para #3 that will cover against the allegation:The Defendant denies the claim, asserting that a Pay and Display ticket or permit was purchased in good faith for the relevant period, but due to the passage of time and inadequate particulars provided, it is impossible to verify precise details or defend against such a vague allegation.

Thank you both.I have submitted the AoS today (13 October). Will submit the defence before the end of the month.@LDast I will add your generic paragrah 3 to mine.0

How long should I expect to wait to receive the Directions Questionnaire?I submitted my defence with MCOL about a month and a half ago.I received the claimant's DQ about two weeks ago (this was emailed to me). These are the last two transactions when I look at the claim status on MCOL.0

Could be before Christmas, or next year, no time limit really, especially with the big delays at the CNBC and courts
Possibly early January, with a hearing next summer or autumn, or this time next year1
