3 PAYG cards for Florida

I have been with 3 for several years, but was sad to se the Go Roam dropped on our Pay Monthly contracts for using in the USA a couple of years back. (Unless we pay for an expensive Go Roam Pass x3)

Three of us travelling in a few weeks, and I am keen to explore the option of using PAYG sim cards for our upcoming stay..
If I have read this correct::

I buy 3 x PAYG Sim cards, put them in our phones before travelling and add 3 x £10 1 month Data Pack to each to 'activate' them. (up to 6GB Go Roam and unlimited calls and texts)
This will give us new numbers we could use in the USA.

If each phone is only ever used to call one of the other phones when we are in Florida (ensuring we have +44 in front of it) - we have unlimited calls and texts to each other for our 3 week holiday? 

Sounds perfect, but, is my interpretation right?

Unless things have changed both parties will be charged for each call regardless of which party instigates the call. Just a heads up. They quote 30 days as an average but ours only ever lasted less than 2 weeks and we were never heavy users. Things may have changed.

Three PAYG Data Packs include unlimited minutes and texts to UK numbers so your understanding is correct. As long as you all used your new phone numbers on the PAYG sims then no roaming fees.

Assuming you'll be using the data on the new PAYG sims then your WhatsApp data based messaging and calling will still work on your existing numbers, as the messages/calls go over the data network.

It really sounds ideal - buy 3 x PAYG sim cards and activate them in our phones before we go.
We travel on the 24th October. So, we buy the £15 Data Pack on the 20th and we will have it when we travel and ready to go as soon as we touch down in Florida. That will cover us for the 3 weeks we are away and allow us to contact each other throughout our trip.
