Attempted fraud - Hutchinson 3G - Personal Loan

Hello everyone, just looking for some advice

Someone has decided to make a fraudulent application in my name with Hutchinson 3G

It was halted due to my credit file being locked, but the application type is listed as "PERSONAL LOAN"

I didn't think H3G was in the business of selling loans, but then I came across a H3G link where people can apply for loans (I can't post links here yet, sorry)

This confuses me somewhat  Does H3G issue loans to existing mobile phone customers, and as the application asks for a postcode of the account - should I also be looking to Three for a mobile phone account in my name?

Three's customer service in these circumstances is not great either.

I have spoken with 3 x Three advisors and this issue is far too off-script for them.

My other question today is, does anyone have any decent (hopefully UK) contact details for Three?

Most mobile providers have separated the handset contract from the airtime contract.  The handset side will be done as a loan.

I'm not sure you'll get anywhere with Three. If you're claiming the account was applied for fraudulently, the DPA will prevent them from discussing it with you.

Bear in mind Action Fraud is just a trashcan that has been set up to collect and (mostly bin) fraud reports as the Police don't have the resources, or desire, to deal with them. Don't expect anything to come from a report to them.
