Fishing holidays in Spain or France

My husband is disabled but his mate who takes him fishing is keen to go to France or Spain for a weeks fishing holiday, accommodation and food inclusive.
Has anyone done this type of holiday and can advise on where is best to go. Presumably they would be able to hire fishing equipment on the site? Is it possible to fly over for this type of holiday or is it necessary to drive there?
His mate mentioned somewhere called Gigantica in France but they are fully booked for all next year.
Can anyone advise please.

The Vendee is very good for fishing. The fishing/angling association has a scheme of approved accommodation with fishing facilities. https://federation-peche-vendee.fr/les-hebergements-labellises-peche such as this place Campsite with fishing pond - certified fishing accommodation - Campilo1

The figures suggest the average spend of your holiday was between £2,000 - £4,000. (38% spent between £2K to £3K whilst a close second 36% spent between £3K to £4K). The average cost of a holiday in 2023 was around £4,678.

I know very little about fishing, but when I was in Provence people said the the river Verdon and Lake Sainte-Croix are well known for carp fishing. Moustiers-Sainte-Marie is a lovely place to visit alongside the lake.

Thank you all for the replies. He is looking at all the links. His main problem is that he cannot walk without crutches so the fishing needs to be very close to the accommodation as his mate has to carry all the equipment.
I never knew fishing was so involved, they take more for a days fishing than I take for 2 weeks holiday!0 -
I'm not a fisherman, or not that type at least, so this may not be any help at all.
A long time ago we stayed on a campsite in France, where there was a lake and some of the other people there were fishing every day and appeared very pleased with it. It was the domaine des ormes.

Possible to stay there in a mobile home- try the fishing and possibly find some more adventurous fishing nearby?

'Campsite with fishing pond' would indicate a few hours leisure fishing, catching a few small /medium sized fish.
The OP indicates that her husband is a 'carp man' which means many hours/days waiting to catch a big one. They often prefer big lakes with some big'uns in there. However they are often booked up/clubs with waiting lists/ expensive.
It is quite a specialised area, so the OP would probably be better googling some of the many ' Big Carp' websites for suitable venues.0
