My contract is coming up. I have Q box, don't want TV Glass and wondering what streaming sky is like? Pros - Cons?
I have FTTP and am 1 person (no others living with me).

I have Stream.
Check the channel line up, some of the religious and minority interest channels are not supported.
You cannot record as such, all content is streamed on demand and the apps do not retain the rights to the content for ever.
I am currently watching a "last chance" series before it disappears.
Sometimes with sports events only the highlights are available, not whole game replays.
I only have 34 Mbps FTTC but absolutely solid performance in HD, any FTTP service will be fine for HD or UHD.0 -
I streamed via a puck and it was awful. Kept stopping halfway through episodes and not letting me watch the end, going into a loop and repeating the same advert over and over rather than finishing the program.
Free trial, so I just didn’t carry on at the end. Wasn’t worth the hassle.
I don’t think it was a broadband issue because I’ve never had a problem streaming to the chromecast. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
We have sky streaming (I won a comp where I got it free for a year with a glass tv). We were previously on SkyQ. When the free year ran out, I sold the glass TV and kept the pucks, as it was too pricey to go back to SkyQ.I do have to unplug the puck now and then as I get an annoying flickering sometimes and it will get more frequent and then just give up.Regarding the channel listings - the amount of music channels you get on stream compared to SkyQ is really meagre.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £30,358.130

OK - not too positive and I do like recording tbh. Thank you all.0

I was sceptical at first about not being able to save recordings and relying on on-demand. But there hasn’t been anything so far I haven’t been able to watch or re-watch on-demand. That includes sports (particularly rugby league).
Re-watching matches back on Sky Sports+ is a different issue altogether, but not related to the actual Sky Stream product.0 -
I have recently seen Sky Stream at a friend’s house and was shocked that you only get 4 music channels versus about double that on Sky Q. In my opinion it’s only really worth getting if you can’t get a dish.0

Sky Stream is very clunky, and the ad skipping is truly appalling. I got rid on the day I'd had it for 18 months. Until they make recording available I'm not prepared to pay Sky for what is essentially a Freeview + service."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0
