I'd buy from an established online shop rather than some two bit seller with hardly any history and a no returns policy.

Depending on your tariff it will cost in the order of 22p an hour to run.

It's a 1kW electric heater with a few bells and whistles like a timer and the ability to detect an open window.

But when running, it won't be any more or less economical than any other 1kW electric heater. 1kW electricity in = +/1 kW heat out.

If it is working OK, then is no point changing it unless you start looking at Economy 7 storage heaters, heat pumps, etc.

Don't get drawn in to the snake oil nonsense of fancy space age technology ceramic heaters, miracle heaters, or any other such mumbo jumbo.Newton sussed it out a long time ago.
  • If you do choose to buy more you might be better off buying 2nd hand.
As an example you can get 750W - 1250W panel heaters for £4.99 each.

According to another thread the OP appears to be on economy 7 so could well be pricey to run if on for long periods during peak rate, unless they plan to use it for an hour before bed and then time it to come on for a couple of hours before waking up.

Running it in the daytime on economy 7 definitely does not fall in to the category of 'economical'.

We're in 'financially ruinous' territory on peak daytime rates!

Sorry guys, I should have mentioned that the link is my heater in another bedroom. It might have sounded like I was going to buy it but only wanted to see what people's thoughts on it was.

I will use it and see what I think.

    Many thanks again guys
