my pc is playing up. it won't start.
is there any company that i can call out to fix it that is reasonably priced?

oh no i definitely need someone i'm proper thick when it comes to computers. the computer just won't start.0

yes. what happens is there is a blue screen on start up. i've just googled it. it says that is the blue screen of death . does that mean my pc has died?0

Try Alt and F10 this will take you to the BIOS section, alternatively try F2 on boot up.0

Do you have the windows cd? if so, put that in and format your pc.0

They will ask you the same....have you got boot up cd's? Not really worth £45 you may as well do it yourself0

from that blue screen it appears that your spcmdcon.sys or a file that it requires (I guess stating obvious).
Can you boot into safe mode? (After the BIOS screen, press F8) you should then get option to boot safe mode and try running a chkdsk from there.0
