Armtrack ticket at Stennack car park

I would really appreciate some advice please.
I received a PCN from Armtrack following a stay at Stennack car park, St Ives, TR26 1RU in August 2024.
The ticket I bought and displayed was valid between 14:31 and 17:31. However, I had entered the car park at 13:20 before walking out of the car park.
The reasons for the delay were multiple. First the car park was full and there were already cars in front of me waiting for spots to free up, and cars behind me also desperate for a space. After a few rounds queuing up, I waited patiently next to two families who were leaving (not to mention the space I had waited for prior to this until I realised it was too narrow for my estate car). After long goodbyes and me reassuring them not to rush, I eventually parked safely and headed to the machine to pay for a ticket. Whilst waiting in queue, I scratched my head to understand how I was going to compensate the time that had elapsed til then.
Being a pay and display system, my understanding was that the car should not be left in the car park without a valid ticket. So as long as I hadn't left the car park before my session started, I should be fine. Besides, there isn't an option to pay for the hour and 11 minutes between entering the car park and purchasing my ticket. So I thought I'd add some extra time to compensate for staying unusually longer than normal.
After coming back from the beach and leaving the car park at 16:49, I still had 42 minutes before my session runs out.
Following the first letter, I thought they just needed to see my ticket, which I sent them. Unfortunately they came back with the attached letter.
Has anyone been into a similar situation and can advise what their experience was please?
I've attached the letter I received, offering their 3 options (pay/appeal/ignore).
Thanks in advance.

I'm sure much more wise people than me will respond but I don't think you were parked... and their wording says that you must have a valid ticket while parked. I wonder if you can threaten to go to the independent appeals service and also ask for a copy of the cctv1

Yes I got pictures of my car entering and exiting the car park.
I see, so there is no point appealing to the IAS as they are part of the scam.
So you say wait for a court claim, then what happens?
How do I reach out to the landowner? Is it worth the try?
Would be good to get some testimonies of people who went through the whole process and can advise me on my situation.0 -
What happens is all explained in NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST.
Armtrac don't sue anyone but in case that changes you must tell them if you move house within 6 years. That is all. Ignore the letters but open them to be sure it's always just another threatogram to laugh at.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Coupon-mad - thanks for your message. I did read the Newbies FAQs. I also searched similar threads and found out people managed to contact the landowners successfully, so I thought that would be a good route to explore if one can help where to find the details for Stennack Car Park, St Ives, TR26 1RU.
I also went through this page and came across the section to check whether " the company is a member of a trade body". They are allegedly part of the IPC according to the footer on their letter. I checked on the IPC website, however there isn't a list or a search that I can do to confirm that they are.
I also searched similar posts and the closest I could get is this one with a winning outcome speaking to the landowner. Unfortunately, I can't see where to find the details of the landlord, so that's where I'm stuck at the moment.0 -
Yes, that link in the MSE guide to parking doesn't work. In fact, that whole article is best avoided.
Googling IPC AOS will lead you to this page...
