EDF prepayment with debt
my gas and electric is with EDF on prepayment with debt. I've agreed amounts per week to pay the debt back. My gas is now cleared but electric is nowhere near paid off. My repayment is £20 per week. Is there anyone that know anything about how the repayment works? Towards the middle of 2023 i got balances from EDF with my balance outstanding, I've also received statements showing the balance outstanding. August 24 i received a statement showing a completely different outstanding balance Much higher than what they have notified me.- EDF have said that the statements are never right and i need to use my in house monitor. I queried this with EDF at the beginning of August and they have blamed it on everything and the kitchen sink! They are basically telling me that I am not topping up enough on the meter to cover my usage and debt repayment. I've topped them both gas and electric completely the same way and the gas is sorted. On my main electric meter i can see the repayment daily amount - EDF are telling me that they just take £20 per week not daily. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Feel like i'm banging my head against a brick wall with them.....

If the figures on your statements are constantly changing, this could be a sign of incorrect billing or accounting on their part. EDF blaming it on “everything and the kitchen sink” without providing a clear explanation is unacceptable.

none of it makes any sense to me and even though I've asked several times to escalate it thought EDF its the same person coming back to me.....
