Open to new ideas, have got coffee and tea stains on a stair carpet - have tried the VAX and "white wonder" scrubbing, the stains seem to go but then come back a few hours later.
Don't really want to replace the whole carpet but it looks a bit scruffy - any ideas?

There are some "household hacks" that you could try, I think one is baking soda and vinegar? But google it to check. Other option is to cut out the stain and put a patch in, if you can find the identical carpet and an honest John type carpet fitter who will only charge you the hours work it will take.

Also if you have a high speed drill, you can get a brush attachment for it. It's what they use commercially to clean carpets. Will be way more effective than scrubbing by hand
