PC very slow....

Hi everyone.
I'm visiting these people in Italy,anyway.
Their PC is so slow........
Can anyone advice me what to do please.
CPU is at about 30-60%.
I installed CCleaner, defragmented the disc.
They use Windows XP SP2,amd athlon xp2200+ 252 RAM,radeon 7500 series.
Any help will be apreciated.

They do not have enough RAM, get them another 512MB or preferably 1GB. Install AVG antispyware and antivirus, update both and run both from safe mode, let them remove anything they find.0

I know they are laid back in Italy but
.... yes, more ram would help.
You said you ran Ccleaner, did you makes sure that the old prefetch was ticked to be removed? Also make sure that the virtual memory settings are reasonable
I would be tempted to run a antispyware program such as spybot to see if there was any nasties there as well.0
