I was told today that B&M own the site but all enquiries regarding parking are to be administered via G24. The staff member did seem very apologetic, but had no authority.

My feeling is that whilst it is surely possible for the land owner (B&M - not verified yet) to cancel an alleged private parking charge, one must find a way to actually convince them to operate outside of an agreed money making scheme.

I cannot imagine for one minute that B&M and other such retailers are not complicit in this scheme, no doubt arguing that it was necessary to safeguard the parking area for its own customers.

Anyway, I am not coming with anything new here, but thought I would just add the update for reference.

This came in the post today, a ‘final reminder’. I will be looking out for specific court proceeding correspondence, but, until then, I shall take no action.

Ah sorry… thank you for removing as well; I  had not redacted it properly either! …
  • Due to conversations between myself and the driver and the circumstances surrounding this situation, this thread can now be closed.
