Morning everyone
Just popping in while I'm eating my breakfast. I'll go down to mam and dads before work just to check everything is ok. I haven't had a chance to see DD and little one yet, will maybes go after work today.
It looks like it's going to be a nice sunny day here.
Hope everyone has a good day x11 -
Morning all, thanks remmie & hope things work out for the family. It's dry atm with some bits of blue sky popping through.Allie, nice photo, glad you're enjoying yourself.DGS will be back tonight from his school trip but we won't be going for him, due back around 7pm.I managed a walk yesterday, sticking to the paths in the park. The part nearest to us is flooded but thankfully hasn't spilled over onto the road. Had a lovely chat with a nice lady and her little dog. I miss the days when we could walk further afield with Ly1a. She has got to a good age now for her breed though.Good news for DH on the hip op though, he has just got the letter to say it's booked for the end of next month- suppose that means a quiet X mas but he'll just be glad to get it done.S-O sorry you've not heard from your son ((hugs))Taff, sounds like you're getting organised with your jobs.Right time for a coffee. I might carry on looking at some cardmaking for the festive season, got a few things out yesterday afternoon. Trying not to buy too much new stuffTake care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9

Yesterday I arranged my own funeral. I wanted to prepay but that wasn't possible if I used my local FD. Seems legislation has changed. No contact with DS, his decision, I've tried everything, so I thought I'd put things in place with solicitor as my executor. That's odd @SO - I did mine last year with my local FD as I didn't want to use one of the larger commercial or website based companies. But well done for trying to organise things.More fun and games with escapee cows they're gradually being put into a large field as they jump over the wall of the farmyard. The stocksman is getting increasingly grumpy. Perhaps the rest will be moved whilst I'm out.
He explained it as they have to hold enough money that if everyone with a prepaid funeral with them should die on the same day they would have enough funds.
The FD I went to is a small independent.
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Hello all, it's another damp morning and quiet cool with it, feels like winter's already here.
Yesterday we had a quote for our car insurance 😲, so Mr Fix It compared some more companies and got a quote £150 odd pounds lower...... and with our same provider no less !! It was paid for tout suite before they changed it again. This week we've had to shell out for a new fan heater, we've gone for a tower one this time and a new printer (snap taff) so it's been a very expensive time.
Today we have to put in our prescriptions at both surgeries because we've cancelled the collect and delivery service from the pharmacy. We were fed up of trying to track them down every month and we were getting medication anxiety. I'll call in the meat van on the way home too as Mr Fit It has run out of black pudding. The rest of the day is fluid as there's always something that needs doing isn't there.
TA such sad times for you, hope SIL slips away peacefully.
Remmie hugs. Hope your family problems get sorted out soon.
Allie looks like you're having a great time.
Silver Oldie hugs.
Rosy good news about DH's hip op, hope it all goes smoothly.
Gers they were quick sorting out your car. Hope the cows are held in a secure location now.
Take care all, hugs available to anyone who needs one.

Morning all
Been raining most of the night but it’s dry for now but more rain due this evening, got a call from Robs mum last night after I had gone to bed to say he still had upset tummy, why does she phone so late ! I wouldn’t dream of phoning someone that late unless it was urgent anyway upshot is he is not coming today.
I need to get the dogs out after this and then go and do the shopping, dinner tonight is either cottage pie and veg or fish and chips will see what we fancy later atm I’m voting for cottage pie.
I picked up a few little stocking fillers yesterday at the range I’m going to try and get a few bits every time I am in a shop, my clients like to shop so it should be fairly easy.
Dd and I have booked to go to Barcelona in Dec for a few days for her 30th Birthday, OH will stay and look after the dogs but we are hoping for a little break together in the spring maybe Germany.
TA what a sad time for you all I hope she passes peacefully xxx
Remmie I hope the family problems get sorted soon xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Hi everyone,
Red letter day, it's not raining. Steve had a golf competition yesterday and got so wet he rang me for a complete change of clothes. He's floor grinding in Chatteris today.
I had a phone call from a journalist friend of Crystal and Laura's she wanted to talk to someone who had had a miscarriage about 40 years ago for an article. It's funny how you remember things like that in great detail. As I told her, it's mixed feelings because if I hadn't had the miscarriage I wouldn't have had Chris.
Remmie, I hope things get sorted out.
TA, I'm sorry you're having such a tough time atm.9 -

Redruby - I went to Barcelona with my eldest DD a few years ago - we loved it. We went in July though and it was 40 degrees, far too hot to walk around x4
