Hello!
I'm having a total 'mare with British Gas Customer non-Service (really?)
I'll spare the finer details but I'm having to have my faulty electric prepayment meter replaced with a smart meter. This isn't by choice but as my existing meter is past it's certification date I have no choice.
Being prepay I've been having to deal with those totally utterly useless *?#%! at their callcentre in South Africa.
Is there anywhere in the UK I can contact BG regarding the fitting of this or are they just going to dump me back to SA?

I found online chat worked best with BG, albeit quite a long wait for someone to turn up and then you had to hold your ground to the point of them having to consult their manager but no experience of sorting new meter or prepaid...0

The fitting of meters is handled by a different team, they will contact you when they have availability in your area and book in a date for the meter to be fitted, apart from that you should not need to speak to anyone and once it is live after fitting you will be able to top up on line any time you want so should with any luck never need to speak to them again.0
