hi, We lost our mum in July this year and our Dad in January last year and need some help. We completed the C1 and submitted to the Sherriff court but it was returned without any guidance on what was wrong.
My mum was the sole beneficiary of my dad's will. My late Dad was the the main beneficiary of my mum's will, with her children to inherit in the event of my dad not surviving mum.
My sister changed address since the will but it was mentioned on the form
Can anyone offer any suggestions on where we have went wrong please?

I don't think a c1 was completed for my dad. My mum was suffering from dementia and we assumed it wasn't needed. I am one of the 4 executors of my mum's will.

Is it possible that Confirmation should have been applied for, for your father. Are there any references to father’s estate in the inventory?
Was there a jointly owned house? And if so was there a survivorship clause?
It would be useful to see a redacted copy of para 2 of page 2.
The more of the C1 that you can replicate here, (leaving out personal details) the easier it might be to give advice.
