  • I suspected as much. Easy to say customers should do their homework as I found out, but very underhanded when relying on customer gullibility to THINK they are getting a good deal!

Often thought of printing some little stickers to warn customers they are getting ripped off!!!

Why are they getting ripped off?
each supermarket has a price label/shelf label on items, we choose to accept the price or shop around.

Some people will shop around and use 2/3 shops. For me, I have Waitrose & Sainsburys local and I choose to order online at Asda.

Asda is by far the cheapest for me, for what I buy but that doesn’t mean it is for everyone. I have friends who shop in Sainsburys and I find them astronomical for prices but it suits them.

Price match items should definitely be the same size and the same price (obs.)

What they won't necessarily be is the same quality.   Unfortunately we aren't really any further forward with that than we always have been - there are two ways to assess price match products.  You can either try them yourself, or you can look out for other people's comparisons here and elsewhere on social media.
