EON pledge tracker vs new Fix post 1st Oct

Hi everyone, I'm not sure whether to stay on the EON pledge tracker (which tracks 3% under the price cap), or switch to the EON 12month fix v28, which is estimated to be around 9% lower than the October 1st price cap.

I have swapped this morning on the basis that even if it comes down slightly in January and again in April it's still predicted to not get back to the pre October levels but even if they do I'd rather be paying less in the months where I am using most.
Interestingly I did it at 8.30 am and it was v23. I've just looked at the difference and the standing charges are the same but v28 electricity rate is 22.44p compared to v23 22.29p and Gas is 5.51p compared to 5.48p. Tiny difference but just shows you can't afford to hang around if you're going to fix1
