Really good experience of Sunflower lanyard

Options
Just to say I've been on holiday with a very deaf sibling, who wore their Sunflower lanyard while travelling. This was picked up quickly by airport staff, and we were ushered through the express lanes at check-in etc. It's for any hidden disability: if you haven't come across it before, details are here:

At other times, assistance was mixed:
 - the pre-flight airport hotel offered a PEEP, but this was agreed as me having a room key and rousing them if the fire alarms went off. Reception staff denied having vibrating pillow alarms, although their PEEP pro-forma said they did.
 - the foreign hotel noted the situation, but again the solution was for me to have a key
 - on the flight home, we were very discreetly asked if X was in this row, so a printed set of standard announcements could be given. Stewards were surprised we hadn't had this on the way out. Of course this was no help when the non-standard apologies for the 2 hour delay started: "it's Sunday, we're in Spain, what can I say?" was one classic!

I've had a good experience at UK airports but a total disregard at Spanish airports even with the hidden disability lanyard that you can get from Aena

My wife has mobility problems, and I have to say our experience was the opposite. Manchester airport useless and no help whatsoever, Greece treated like royalty and nothing too much trouble.

We went through Manchester Airport with one of us with the lanyard. On checking in the woman asked was the person liable to have outbursts hinting we got the impression they wouldn't let us fly if they did. Got no help through the airport after.

I've recently been to Greece and had great experience in both airports, going and coming home. Couldn't fault either of them.

i am very surprised to read this. Every time I/we have flown to Israel be it London/Luton/Manchester, we have had nothing but kindness and respectful help. The worst experience I had was when arriving at Amsterdam about 15 years ago, the guy wheeling me through from the aeroplane, said to me, "Okay, you are okay to walk now aren't you?" and stopped wheeling me. Not impressed.
