Crypto investments

Hi

I kind of got bullied into investing £250 into a crypto 'get rich quick' scheme under the guise of Wiseways investments.  The money seemed to go up quickly but then they wanted me to invest more...I stalled and subsequently had my account frozen and I can't access it.  Have just taken a call from Valueqube who say they discovered I was duped and that they have the money to release...I just need to share some details... I haven't but they are very persuasive and I want to know if anyone else has dealt with this, how can you check how genuine these things are and how can we protect ourselves further ... They wanted me to use Anydesk to share details etc...

write off your £250 and put it   down to an expensive lesson learned. Don’t talk to / communicate with anyone who offers you help with recovering your money, and don’t double in crypto again. Block unknown callers on your phone. You are on a suckers list so some “unbeatable” offers may come your way for some time to come. Just ignore them all.

The upside is that it could have cost you a lot more than £250.

    Its a scam!

    1. Look at these scam checking websites:

    https://check.getsafeonline.org/check/wisewayinvestments.com
    https://www.scam-detector.com/validator/wisewayinvestments-com-review/

    https://www.scam-detector.com/validator/valueqube-net-review/
    https://www.scam-detector.com/validator/valueqube-net-review/

    2. You could have used an internet search::   Wisewayinvestments sucks

    https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/wisewayinvestments.com
    https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/wisewayinvestments.com

    3. You go looking for investments. If investments come looking for you, Think Scam!
Stay away from investments that find you  via:
    Cold calls
    Email links
    Social Media (Facebook etc)
    Friends down the pub
Family who know nothing about investing

    4. Run they other way from anyone who wants you to down load
Anydesk or similar programs on to your computer.
It has legitimate uses but scammers use it to spy on your computer

    5. Stay away from Crypto! It is just a long number stored on someone else's computer.

    Remember
    (a) you have lost all £250
    (b) the make believe £ rises you saw someone else's computer, was part of the scam
    (c) your name is now on a so called "suckers last" so you can expect calls from scammers calling you saying they can get your money back, for an up front fee of course. This is all part of another scam called "advance fee fraud".

Next time you want to invest in anything do your research first not after. It saves to a lot of money.

Q1. How did you find out about this investment?
    Q2. Who bullied you.

Have just taken a call from Valueqube

Block the number on your phone and put the whole episode behind you. ( Lesson learnt)

just wanted to add.. do not install anydesk.. they will drain your bank account. Google "Scammer Payback" ... there is a great youtube channel where they try to stop scams.
