Transfer - Missing Money

Options

Like most I have a selection of bank accounts for different things, recently I completed a transfer of £100 from my Halifax account to my Shawbrook account which went through fine and no problems so the next day I sent through £4900.00, I received a text to say the money had gone into my account however the next day I received a message from Shawbrook to they cannot accept the payment because it did not come from my nominated bank, but from a redeem Lloyds account.

I have sent them proof it came from the Halifax account but won't accept this and now they have sent it back to this redeem Lloyds account where it came from I have never had a Lloyds account.

Shawbrook refuse to accept responsibility so I am left out of pocket also I have sent through a £1.00 through after I sent the large amount and this has gone through fine as well.

Never had this before so not sure where to go I have made a complaint to Shawbrook.

Who is responsible to trace and resolve as surly it cant be me?

    Halifax is a Lloyds brand.

You are certain that the money is not on its way back to your Halifax account?

Halifax are part of the Lloyds banking group, and money transfers go via a suspense suspense account (an internal account used by banks for money transfers) - which *may* explain why they seem to think it came from a Lloyds account.  Why this only happened with the larger amount is anybody's guess.

Speak to both banks.  It may have been sent back to Halifax rather than to a Lloyds account.

Have you asked Shawbrook for the details of the account they sent the money back to?

Shawbrook say the payment came from a "redeem Lloyds account"

    What does this mean?

What is the number and sort code of the account from which it came and to which it is said to have been returned?
