Debt Letters - 100% Not my Debt

Hi MSE,
I've recently moved into a new property (a month or so) and have received 2 letters in my name. One from Cabot to tell me they've passed on a debtoriginally from Aqua (i'd never heard of them until now) to 'Wescot'.
The second letter is from Wescot requesting to verify my address which I'm reluctant to do since this has nothing to do with me.
What are my steps here? I believe I should be sending a Prove it letter to Cabot which I'll be doing. I believe I should ignore Wescot until they mention said debt too as they've currently just said contact us.
I have checked: Experian, Clearscore and Credit Karma for any refernce to said 'debt' and nothing showing up either. Really not sure where this has come from and a little annoyed I have to go out of my way to deal with something like this.

Send them prove it letters, maybe just trying it on, maybe wrongly linked your name to someone with a similar name due to poor tracing etc
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Aqua provide credit cards, the company behind them is Newday, ring any bells?
Sending the prove-it letter should get you some background information so you can ascertain whether the debt is yours or not.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Some developments I called newday and I share a name with a family member who I lived with before I moved away. Newday essentially couldn't discuss anything in that wasn't for me and wouldn't budge but sounds like it's not for me.
Will send the proove it letter.1
