Good morning, it seems fine here as far as I can tell.
Yesterday was a ok day, Ds and family visited.
It's hairdo day today, then I'm going to Ice*and - I've got a gift card with £11 left on it which expires today, so I'll. spend it there.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning all and thanks for starting us off ScarletA very wet day today so won't be venturing out but I'll go on the exercise bike instead later. The breadmaker is out and I'm going to be soup making today too now I've got the ingredients together for lentil and bacon soup!Apart from that I'll see how long it is until I give in today and put the heating on!Hope everyone has a good day x12

Happy hairdo @Scarlet.On Saturday I watched three episodes of Ludwig then the final three yesterday. My only criticism is that a lot of scenes were very dim, apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed each one. It's in the same vein as Professor T and Monk and all the better for it.Today it's back to the exercise class, the leader is back from her travels and we're all raring to go. For now I'm gearing myself up to go in the shower as I CBA last night, serves me right. 😀
Tahe care everyone, hope the weather isn't too rough.10 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. We have heavy rain forecast but, as yet, it hasn't happened. Fingers crossed it will be light rain but as I am not going anywhere it doesn't really matter.
Today would have been our 52nd wedding anniversary, had life been kinder. Lots of memories are stirring up all sorts of emotions in me.
I got all my shopping done yesterday with DS and in the afternoon I had a surprise visit from middle DGD. We ended up watching Alice Through the Looking Glass together.. I hadn't a clue what was happening! I am old school where films are concerned, give me the likes of Mrs. Miniver any day!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all xx

Morning, thanks for starting us Scarlet.
Heavy rain here, it started about 6 last night and hasn't stopped. The forecast is rain all day.
Nothing planned except getting big dog out. Spag bol for tea which Dh wont have as he doesn't eat pasta or mince, so will find something in the freezer for him.
TA, sending big hugs to you today, raise a glass to your happy memories.
Have a good day, love to all x10 -
Morning all! Yep, raining again, but it could be worse
I've got five loads of washing to do but thanks to the rain can't dry it on the line [ it's been hanging around for a week or two but I keep missing the dry bits] so the tumble is going to have to step up. OH has done a mist coat in the extension and I went to look for colours, looked for ten minutes, got annoyed, picked five tester pots and left. As one ofmy friends said, you won't notice it after a while anyway
Friends xhibition seems to have gone well, he made a mural for anyone who went to have a go at, so that's finished, which is great. Everyone seemed really enagegd when I visited so that's great too. My car is booked in for next week and I have a hundred miles left before it doen't start [ adblue problem obviously, again!] so I'm ekeing out the driving. Floor tiles, shower and basin ahe been ordered so they're coming tomorrow, need to make room for the tiles.I made risotto ast night so there's leftovers of that and I think a nice soup today with borlotti...
Scarlet, your handbag smack in the face comment did make me laughRuby, hope your headache has gone! dp1, your poor mum and poor little dgd, fingers crossed for rapid improvement from both. Gers/Allie how nice you were both there at the same time, virtual waving going on...
TA, alos lovely that your gc's pop in whenever too, nice ot have some company. remmie, your OH is a bit fussy isn't he? can he cook his own meals? mehefin, that's a good weenancy idea there. Or even try ancestry or something similar to see if they can archive it somewhere. Izzy, see, you went so fast you forgot to go from the beginning and met yourself before you even came back
hope you're in the right gear today
Nan, hope he's being less gruntled today and hope you're relaxing after the busy ness of the weekend! SO, do you find it helping you, the wlk/talk thing? Right, I'm orf to make tea and stuff, have a good day all!

Morning everyone I’m off out for a coffee and a catch up with my friend soon it’s dry here but rain forcast from lunchtime onwards TA I’m sending big hugs and happy memories I had forgotten about Mrs miniver . I think we are all into soup making I made another pot yesterday will do for about 3 days lunches . I’ve watched 3 Ludwig and I’m enjoying it not as much as strictly of course. For some reason I seem as if I have nails I think it’s because they are not in water all the time since I retired I’ve found some nail strengthening varnish in the draw how long it’s been there and how much good it will still be I don’t know but I’ve put some on and I might go and buy a nail varnish and see if I can have them looking half decent. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Lots of memories are stirring up all sorts of emotions in me.I hope that a lot of those memories are good ones, full of love. xxAlready I've been a spendthrift - I've ordered a small sofa bed for the upstairs room. Despite me really enjoying having a chair in there I miss not having a place for visitors to stay, apart from downstairs in the larger sofa bed. Having guests downstairs isn't really wonderful, so I bit the bullet. Actually, I was going to order it last night but hesitated over the colour which could be delivered in seven days (pale grey) then this morning, just after I decided to go with it, found that they had all sold. Now I've ordered my first choice of a blue one which will come within 10 weeks, that suits me just as well. The ground is wet and the sky is grey. Perhaps the rain will stay away. Weekly banking to do before I got out.

Morning All
Grey and miserable out but no rain yet although it is forecast. Apart from a couple of showers there hasn't been any significant rain for a few weeks thank goodness. The forecast has been for rain all weekend but it didn't happen, in fact it was surprisingly warm and sunny.
Stripped the bed yesterday and got everything dried and put away. Decided against putting the heavier quilt on for a few weeks yet as I've been waking up with the blanket thrown off.
Friend brought over the last of the rhubarb yesterday so I made 12 jars of jam (and a crumble for her), that should keep the family going for a good few months.
Enjoy your class Gers, good that it's back on.
Hugs to you TA.
Great that your friends and neighbours are helping out Mehefin. Good luck with the clearing and sorting.
How exciting you're at the painting stage taff. Good luck with choosing a paint colour, always takes me ages.
I was up and out early yesterday to Asda and then on to Ikea - DS1 and DP said that the baby would like a high chair for Christmas so I got that (and a Christmas tree!). Went for a walk with friend and her dog to the new allotment via the river, lovely to get out.
I'm off today so will go and get tights for a wedding I'm going to on Saturday then it's feet up. Take care. XX9 -
Morning all
Dull, grey and damp here today. At least it's not yet raining but I'm sure it will later. I spent Friday morning manning the flood barriers across the main road, as the water was too deep to let vehicles through. Luckily everyone was very understanding about it but at times I was a stand in postman, delivery person and goodness knows what else as I had my wellies on so could get across to places the others couldn't. Also had visits from the Environment Agency and the local Council people before the water finally receded enough to open the road at about 5pm.
Toda we are going over to DD's for lunch so will stop off somewhere to buy sandwiches on the way.
Hope everyone's day goes well.8 -
Good morning everyone.
It's raining here and it's set in for the day I think. Off to the hygienist soon and then straight home, I can't be bothered going into town and getting even wetter.
DP1-So sorry to hear about Little One and your DM and hope your DD is home soon.
TA - I hope the happy memories of all those years together are uppermost in your thoughts today. Anniversaries are so difficult without the one you love at your side.
Derek - sorting through items is not easy, take your time.
Nothing else to report so thinking of the sad and the poorlies as always
Take care x10
