@mehefin - Is there a Family History Society with a library collection nearby where the family was from? When I was a librarian, we would take manuscript material for our pamphlet file. Maybe they can too. If it is organized or in a book form, the FamilySearch Centre may be able to send it to Salt Lake City or make a copy to send online. Sometimes it takes a generation or two for someone to express an interest in the family tree and by then the material is long gone. Too bad you aren't able to hold on to it for awhile, but it does take up room. Good luck.5
