Morning all. Right I was on the blower this morning quoting this and that.
The chap the other end of the phone was quite helpful. He is going to ring the employer today.
He informed me that Augusts money has indeed been paid but the way it was paid has been confusing.
I had money in my bank July - 5 days after DEO started on the 19th, so it came out of June wages, but didnt have to come out until Julys (the end) so Augusts is not missing
I then had money 1st October
31st October
25th November
So four payments should have had 5, not 6 - does that make sense.
I told him about my letter to the MP and he said that more people should do it cos then something could be done to change it. He would not actually 'say' that the CSA had been erroneous but he told me I should keep onto the MP quoting maladministration and delay and continuing liability even when employer is not playing ball. He also told me that 'proving' the employer has not complies is a nightmare and they nearly always pay up at the 11th hour.
My case officer was not in and he doesn't actually have the juristriction to call the employer cos he is a new rules officer, not old rules but he will ring them anyway and get cheque details etc to see if they paid.
He will then speak to my case officer about arranging an interview under caution with the employer.
Will keep you posted, thanks for your help.
When I mentioned that August money was missing (before we discovered 'technically' it wasn't) he said that it is difficult to prove a theft case because they employer would simply quote error but he does know of people who have cited theft and called in the police which frightened the employers0 -

Via your MP insist on an account breakdown and then you can keep an eye on all payments received from the beginning. This will include outstanding arrears.
I have had the same situation where 2 months worth of payments have come out the same month. Where is Dec payment?
I find it very amusing the guy advised you to quote maladmin etc and go by way of the MP.
Just what was this guy's 'title'? Complaints Resolution Officer? Did you get his name and direct phone number?
"My case officer was not in and he doesn't actually have the juristriction to call the employer cos he is a new rules officer, not old rules but he will ring them anyway and get cheque details etc to see if they paid."
Hahahahahahaha.
Contact your MP and ask them to put you in contact with a Parliamentary Business Manager.
Best dealing with these lot instead of 'case officers'.0 -
Hello again, rightio will ask my MP all of this when they get in touch with me.
I have got a case officer and I know the name, BUT cos the CSAs system has nor been not flagging up TASKS, the same poor chap keeps getting me on the phone, and he says 'old rules' is not his job but he has been working hard for me today, now everyone is back in work - also I have now been given the name and direct number of the person dealing with me in the debt enforcement.
Employer contacted - the company were taken over by another company at the start of Dec, the new company now contracts out the payroll, the NEW payroll officer informed CSA Decembers money has been taken and is ready to go by the 19th Jan - so the new payroll dept are clued up cos they offered this info without prompting.
Regarding Novembers payment, the guy responsible for doing the payroll job in November left his post on takeover but handed over to the new companies guy who is out of the office until Friday so no light can be shed on November yet cos the CSA have no details of how much was sent what date, cheque number or anything, so the CSA cant look for it, until they know what they are looking for, so it could still be in the CSAs backlog of cheques waiting to be put on the system.
The debt enforcement guy is ringing the employer back on Friday to speak to the handover guy and see if indeed they took money in November and then get the details of the payment - I have his name and number so can ring Friday afternoon.
I will certainly NOT hold my breath lol0 -
Hello everyone, a quick update.
Ok, on the 4th Jan someone at the CSA finally got hold of the employer, the payroll has been contracted out and the new payroll told them that Decembers money has already been deducted and is ready to send for the 19th Jan.
Novembers money was not sent due to an 'oversight' on employers part, they promised to get new payroll to raise a cheque.
So here I am on the 20th Jan, squillions of calls later and yes, still no money. CSA sent a warning letter to employer stating they must contact CSA
The debt enforcement officer is happy for the person responsible within the employers dept to whitewash him and avoid all his calls - 2 weeks of calls 3 times per day and the person is 'busy' - now if someone took the p out of me in my job I would have gone to town on them.
I have been back in contact with my AM (am in Wales) not my MP. I am thinking that this is a mistake but doing research on my MP via 'whoismymp.com' has shown that he is worse than useless in replying to people who email him from the site and he doesnt have his own website.
My AM has said she has been in contact with the minister responsible for CSA and I should hear form him soon but that was a while ago and not hear anything.
Should I take this to the useless MP aswell?
In my last email to my AM I asked for her to advise me on how I get the CSA to sort a liability order on NRP (driving licence an all that) and get compensation from CSA.
Should I be onto CSA off my own back or leave it to AM
Dont know what to do now so any help would be most appreciated
Cheers0 -
Hang on a mo - the money was due in to the CSA on the 19th which was yesterday, so as it is the weekend, it is not late until tomorrow. If the money isn't in, then you should be asking your case officer to refer the case to their Criminal Compliance team to get the to send a Compliance Officer to the employer. If the money is in then great - but it is due to the CSA by 19th , not you. It will be about another week until it reaches you once they get it.0

I am waiting on November AND Decembers payment.
Employers had a face to face in September0 -
I understand that, but you said that they told you that payment was due in this week, so tomorrow you will know whether to jump up and down!! You probably will as the employer has probably strung them a line, but don't get uptight just yet, until tomorrow there is still hope!0
