Blue screen on my childs computer

Hi,

My child PC randomly showed but a blue screen and then the computer crashes. He has to restart.

He has tried updating some drivers not held.

Appreciate if you can advise how to resolve this.  Thanks

you say it happens randomly so I assume you mean it doesn't always happen

this almost certainly means that you have a hardware problem -;maybe a disk failing or maybe memory failing

that would be my best guess
  • This is almost certainly a software problem - likely a driver which is a piece of trusted software that controls hardware and peripherals.

Unless Google reveals something specific about you exact PC/motherboard etc the certain way of resolving this is to re-install windows. It might sound onerous but its not as difficult as you think (lots of guides on the internet) and the best bit is if you've had this computer/laptop more than say a couple of years, you'll likely find it speeds up as windows degrades over time.

Filename mentioned seems to belong to Realtek wireless cards.

I would start there, update that driver from the website of the people who made the computer; or the card manufacturer itself if this is a desktop with a separate card in it..

Take the wireless card out and run it, or use selective startup and disable the wireless to see if it still happens. Just type "startup" in the search box from clicking the windows icon in bottom left corner, then turn off Realtek and re-boot. You can search "Device manager" to look for driver updates, but try windows update too, that sometimes fixes things.
