Two weather/temp boxes on desktop

Via http://www.wunderground.com I would like two weather /temp blocks as featured on the underground page, for both London weather centre and Mount Pleasant (Falklands). to have them on my desktop, so when I start up, I can see at a glance what the weather/temp is. Trouble is, I'm damned if I can do it. Any help please?

Damn! I've tried and failed.

I just right clicked on one of the postage stamp size weather/temp blocks and saw I could send it to my desk top. I did, and now my desktop is black (instead of pale blue) and the wretched "clic for forcast" and rainbow & cloud are ALL over the screen.

I seem to remember being able to go to settings somewhere and rectify this, but I can't find it now. Please advise
