Parking Fine - Manchester City Centre

Hi all,
I parked on St John Street in Manchester City Centre at around 19:38 on Saturday evening. I paid for 30 mins parking to cover until 8pm, after which I believed it was free to park until 8am.
I challenged the PCN and they have rejected it.
I just want to clarify if I am in the right or not? If not I will happily pay the £70, but I am just not sure! They are correct, there is a single yellow line going across the parking bays.
This is the info on Manchester Gov website:
I have attached my appeal rejection letter and the parking meter.
Thanks

Since we specialise in helping with parking charge notices from unregulated private parking companies on this forum, you would be taking this over to our friends on the Free Traffic Legal Advice forum as they are the police and council motoring specialists

I cannot see any single yellow lines on St John Street, just parking bays and double yellow opposite.
What was the exact wording of the contravention they are claiming?1 -
Definitely follow the advice by Fruitcake above, take your query over to the FTLA parking forum, council section1

There is definitely a single yellow line in the photos of my car that the warden took. They aren't there on street view so must be fairly new.
This is the offence:

You cannot move this thread, the FTLA parking forum is a completely different website, so you need to join their forum and post it in their council section there ( its nothing to do with mse forums )
Copy and paste your query from here to there1
