I asked a similar question last year, has the change of circumstances procedure changed at all as My condition has further deteriorated and the suitable descriptors would give me an extra points to receive enhanced daily. But;is there any way to achieve this without a full reassessment, where I could in theory lose everything ?

No, reporting a change will entail a full reassessment.
I'd suggest getting advice from your local advice charity before contacting PIP.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.2 -
Do you have a copy of your last assessment, if so how far off enhanced payments were you? What was the length of your PIP award?
All in all, the answer to your question is no, they will do a full assessment. As you note you run the risk of loosing your PIP however you can take this to MR and tribunal.

An importable issue to factor in with when does your award end.

I would get advice from an advice agency as you do risk your existing award. Do you have any evidence to support your claim that your medical condition has deteriorated such as test results, x rays, increase in medication?1

Thank you everyone for your replies,I am now 67 and my award of standard daily pip was for an ongoing for 10 years (2033) I had a major operation earlier this year and this alone would take me over the 12 points level, but the other more simple problem is that I now have hearing aids for both ears, again this would take me over the 12 points. So I have a difficult choice whether to inform the pip people or not !

That is a hard choice as when SP age PIP is no longer awarded unless your award was given before SP age. I would be worried I would lose PIP and even with mandatory reconsideration I would still worry. Past SP age there is only Attendance Allowance- is that more than you are getting currently? And would still need to pass the criteria. It is a conundrum- good luck with whatever you decide.1

This is easy to prove as it would usually be backed up by an audiology report. The 2 points are scored if someone has to wear hearing aids in order to, for example, be able to follow a conversation. There's no need for the loss to be so severe that it would be difficult to hear a fire alarm without hearing aids. That would suggest a greater degree of hearing loss that could possibly score a higher amount of points, dependent on circumstances.

Once awarded PIP can continue past SPA.
The component that cannot change post a SPA c of c is mobility (as AA has no mobility component).Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.2 -
@Alice_Holt. Thank you. I was concerned that if mandatory reconsideration did not work in the event of PIP refusal and end to PIP it would (after pension age) be attendance allowance. Sorry my writing was not clear - no disrespect intended.
