Good morning - it's fine here but cold.
Yesterday was brrr as well.
I went out to our little high street, looked in a chazzer or two, but didn't buy anything. I saw a nice leather handbag in one of them, and was tempted, but really, I need a handbag like I need a smack in the face, so stepped away.
A friend came round last night and we put the world to rights, it was nice to see her.
Don't know what's happening today, we'll see.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, thinking of our sad or poorly people.
Take care folks.

Morning allBlue skies out there today so probably going to be colder but drier than yesterday. At least I'll be able to hang some washing out. I gave in yesterday afternoon and put the heating on low for a couple of hours. Maybe today will be the same, we'll see.My mum was a prolific knitter and one of the things I still have is a toilet roll cover. The doll that was in it is so old it's brittle and falling apart. I bought one yesterday to replace it but it's very tall so today DH is going to have to amputate some of her legs to fit the holder! Making rock cakes today I think.Have a good day all x13

Morning, dark cold and miserable here, and so is the weather!
Went shopping yesterday, got the sugar and other things not really needed but caught my eye. Dh really fancied some chocolate the other night and of course we didn't have any I haven't got much of a sweet tooth so don't think of buying any. Purchased some and so that put the bill up. Lots of Christmas goodies in the shops but I wasn't tempted by them, really who wants beer flavoured crisps?
Don't know what's happening today, feel like I cba'd at the moment. Must try and get motivated.
Have a good day.
Love to all x11 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start Scarlet
Had walk and talk Thursday and bereavement café yesterday, I'm emotionally exhausted.
Torrential rain and strong winds yesterday. I got soaked and it seems to have turned really cold.
Need to get some laundry done. Looks bright and sunny this morning so hopefully can get everything line dried.
remmie I know what you mean about motivation, I think we should hibernate until spring.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.13 -
Thanks for starting us off @Scarlet, it's chilly here too without any promise of sun today. My drive down the peninsula yesterday was so lovely I had to stop a couple of times just to take it in and bank it in my memory to draw out when the darkness and cold really hit. Hair cut and colour done for another eight weeks. Here's a photo for @AA of the wee ferry loading vehicles for Arran yesterday morning.Today I'm going up to collect a friend to take her shopping in Oban as her OH has had foot surgery so is sporting a rather large and unwieldy boot, it's more of a wellie though. I've got plenty of soup still along with stuff for sandwiches so not too much needed, perhaps some chicken stock.I hope that everyone is able to keep warm, dry and well.14

Morning folks. Thanks SCARLET. We had a glorious sunrise over the moors earlier and amazingly the sun is still shining with lots of blue sky. Lovely to see after the grim days we have had recently. Sadly it was only 2 deg and not set to rise above 12 deg.
I am braving the cold shortly to pop down into town as one or two things needed. First port of call is H & B which has been closed for weeks for, allegedly, some issues with the roof above the centre.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -

Good morning everyone and 'thank you' for starting us off Scarlet.
The sun is out and it looks like being a lovely day (although a bit chilly).
I have a friend coming this morning for a coffee/chat.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. x11 -
Hi everyone,
I had a quiet day yesterday after feeling a bit off all week. Today Chris, Crystal and Nate are coming over. I want to make some soup for lunch ( the two littlies can have the left-over cottage pie from last night, it was yummy). I'll have to think about an evening meal, maybe pasta bake.
Esben's school was shut yesterday because of a power cut after all the rain and we've had even more since then but today seems sunny so hopefully the flooding will recede a bit, the main roads out of town were closed on Thursday.
Have a good day.10 -
Morning All
Slow start here although I've been up for hours. I've cooked some onions and tomatoes, there was a glut of toms in the greenhouse, just having some with an egg for breakfast, the rest can go in the freezer as a pasta sauce base.
Yesterday's trip to Costco was quite good, got what I needed and a couple of Christmas presents, we then went on to HB where I also got a few things and a new rug for the hall - not sure I like it but it's cleaner than the one that was there!
The weather was absolutely glorious yesterday, all the washing was dried outside and has been put away, no airing required. Today doesn't look quite so good so had better get along to allotment 1 before it rains. I found the back door curtain which is now up and the summer quilts have been put away and the winter one will go on when I change the bed, there's a mid tog one on at the moment but I'm having to put a blanket on top part way through the night.
Hope you're happy with your haircut Gers.
Glad you're getting some good weather Allie.
Pleased to hear you're still going to your walk and talk SO.
Well done on walking away from the bag Scarlet!
Congrats on the allotment taff, hope it doesn't need too much work.
Right, off to the shower. Take care. XX12 -
Morning all, I didn't have a good night as a tickly cough kept me awake for most of it.
I did a lot of sorting out yesterday so I have lots of stuff ready to put away now. I have 2 pairs of BN leggings, I don't like the tight feeling around my legs and10 read books ready to give to DD. There are several items of my clothing ready for the cs and a T.shirt of Mr Fix It's. All the washing dried too so as the sun is out I have stripped the bed this morning and put the bedding in the wm. I shall give the van curtains and scatter cushion covers a gentle wash too, hopefully that's everything washed. I'll remake the bed later then put my feet up.
Mr Fix It is taking DGS to football training this morning and will stay to watch his match so I have the morning to get on with things.
Have a good Saturday everyone, hugs to anyone in need.
Take care all.
