It depends in part of what functions you and he are looking for?

If you skip towards the end of this article, it has quite a lot of things to think about with what will work for the person wearing it.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Having been through this, something that is overlooked is that the vulnerable person can take off or put down most of these trackers.

A person with dementia will often put things to one side (including jewellery, bags, watches etc)

So any tracker needs to be chosen very carefully to match the habits of the vulnerable person. I wouldn’t rely on the advice of someone who doesn’t know the person.

An alternative is to add something like an Apple AirTag or Galaxy tag into the seam or lining of coats or fleeces. The various ones work in different ways but don’t need the person to carry a mobile.

EDIT: forgive me if you’ve already thought of this. But there are other methods if someone wanders off. For example, there was no problem with our relative going out the back door because it opened into a small garden with a fiddly gate lock he couldn’t manage. But the front door opened directly into the street. Putting a sign on the inside of the front door saying “LADIES” meant he didn’t use the door.
  • If you're looking for a key tracker that works around the house, this is what I have, they work well.
