TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Prime Video x HITS RADIO ON-AIR Evening Promo COMPETITION –” (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

There will be one [1] winner of the on-air competition, each day from Monday to Thursday (who will receive one of the prizes as described in Prize 5.0).  

 

The competition will contest on from Monday 30th September until Thursday 3rd September 2024 on Hits Radio from 19:00 -22:00 with 1 competition round per day as outlined below (4 competition rounds in total).

 

How to Enter & Shortlisting Mechanic:

 

• Enter the competition via the online entry route
• All entries will be pooled and entrants will be selected by electronic random draw at by 4pm each weekday before the competition for the following weekday, from Friday 27th September to Wednesday 2ndOctober.
• A member of the Bauer Production team will call the entrant to confirm interest and availability to play the game on-air during the competition week
• If the shortlisted entrant is contacted but does not respond to the initial call, or is not available for the pre-recorded call (dates and times are at the disclosure of the Production team), the Bauer Production team has the right to select a different entrant from the pool of valid entries.
• Being called during the entry period does not mean that the entrant has won, and they will only win once being told they are the winner by the Presenter on-air.

 

THE ON AIR COMPETITION AND HOW TO WIN

 

 

·      The competition will air on Monday 30th September, Tuesday 1st October, Wednesday 2nd October and Thursday 3rd October. It is at the discretion of the Hits Production Team exactly when the competition will play on-air. Please note, the competition may be recorded at a different time to when it plays out on-air.  

·      Any correspondence whether it’s texting the studio or speaking to a member of the production team does not guarantee that you will win the prize. A winner is declared once the competition has played out fully on-air and the winner is announced on-air during the showtimes.  

• Every day from Monday 30th September and Thursdays 3rd October, the Evening Presenter will be hosting a game between 7pm and 10pm.
• A pre-recorded call will be set up between the chosen player and the Evening Presenter (specific timings of this call will be arranged by the Bauer Production team)
• The presenter will ask three questions based on the TV series The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power. An option between two answers (a) and (b) for each question will be given to the entrant. They will then have to pick an answer. If they get 1 answer correct, they will win Prize (1), if they get two answers correct, they will win Prize (2), if they get 3 answers correct, they will win a choice between Prize (3), (4) and (5).
• Prizes are detailed below in section 5.

 

 

All final decisions will rest with the Hits Radio Production Team. 

 

If the contestant wins a prize and it is subsequently discovered that they do not fulfil these specific terms and conditions, nor the general competitions terms and condition, they will be disqualified, and this may be communicated after the on air execution completes via email. 3. ENTRY PERIOD

Entries must be submitted during the following entry period: 

 

Pre-register entries are valid from (the “Start Time”) Friday 27th September at 00:01 until Thursday 3rdOctober at 08:00.  (“End Time”).

 

The competition will air on Monday 30th September, Tuesday 1st October, Wednesday 2nd October and Thursday 3rd October in the evening show between 19:00 and 22:00.

 

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.

 

Winner Announcement: The winner’s first name and hometown of the winner(s) may be announced on-air. 

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

·      Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry. Valid identification containing proof of address must be provided to claim the prize.

·      Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. 

·      If anyone has won a competition on any Bauer Media brand (see point below) to the value of £500 or more in the past 6 months, they or any person at the winning address will not be eligible to win the competition.

You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

3.            MISCELLANEOUS.

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
