You have not been fined, there was no fine, you have been a victim of a scam, you have been fooled and tricked into thinking this was something else

I don't think this is very helpful. Some people balance stress against money and just pay. Yes they could have taken it further but in the end they parked and no payment was made against that parking regardless of how that happened. I agree SIP appear to issue a lot of fines hoping at least some pay.

Stress occurs in these instances through worrying about things that won't happen.
