How are shares displayed by various outlets when there is a devaluation or such thing?
I have Marlowe PLC in my SIPP, they have gone from 430 when I bought them, but they are now @ 305 yet I am in profit.
So I guess there has been some sort of revaluation, although it is common for HL to display the wrong price.
So if I am looking at a company and the share price has gone down, I could be wrong.

I suspect it's a result of this and you'll be seeing some shares in Optima Health added to your portfolio

How does the total amount you paid for the compare to the total amount they're worth now? Has there been a share reorganisation? I.e. has the total number of shares changed or remained the same? (A quick look doesn't suggest this.) Does HL include dividends in the total return?Baldytyke88 said:How are shares displayed by various outlets when there is a devaluation or such thing?I have Marlowe PLC in my SIPP, they have gone from 430 when I bought them, but they are now @ 305 yet I am in profit. So I guess there has been some sort of revaluation, although it is common for HL to display the wrong price. So if I am looking at a company and the share price has gone down, I could be wrong.1 -

It is now showing both companies, Marlowe 29% higher than when I bought them and Optima Health Plc 27% lower down

You're skipping a large part of the story. So Optima Health has been spun out of Marlowe? Give it a day or two to see how HL's presentation changes but in my experience with other brokers they don't cope well with how they display profit and losses after these sorts of corporate actions. I keep track of everything in MS Money and apart from the number of shares/units owned I ignore what brokers state my P&L is. They usually exclude dividends anyway so they won't be correct.Baldytyke88 said:It is now showing both companies, Marlowe 29% higher than when I bought them and Optima Health Plc 27% lower down
