I'm going to try Timpsons next weekk, costs are comparable 4 Ready Made Crtns 4.5ft drop approx'
80-90 pounds.
I declined lates cleaner to re try Timpsons next week.

Does it matter if the lining turns pink? You don't normally look at the lining.

Alternatively you could remove the lining, have both parts cleaned and then the lining reattached. That option is more complex and expensive, but the lining will remain crisply white as you desire.

Red is the most difficult dye colour to get to not run - think of that errant red sock in a white load of washing... And the resulting pink tinge to your whites.

Presumably this is the first time you've wanted to get them cleaned?

You ask the tailor at the cleaner to take them apart and then reassemble.

Essentially they would remake the curtains. They might refuse, it might be really expensive (- i.e. with the cleaning) more than a new set of curtains, and has other risks

There is also the risk that the lining (or the curtains) disintegrates during cleaning, so the curtains would need to be relined (or replaced).

Any cleaning is also likely to alter the colour, and that fabric looks like it wouldn't be very colourfast.

What happens if you rub a lightly dampened white  cloth on an inconspicuous part of the red fabric?

I don't currently have them home at least dry cleaners were honest with tel call.
Whilst I did have value white cloths, I haven't tried any rubbing as yet.

    Thanks
