Fiat 600 Steering gear pinion safety recall
Reason for recall
On affected vehicles the steering rack fitted may not conform to specification and result in an increased force to rotate the steering wheel.
How to check if the vehicle is recalled
Contact the local FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES UK LTD dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
How the manufacturer will repair
On the affected vehicles the steering rack will be replaced
If that is the issue then it could be a wait, depending on part supply, which tend on a new car be next to none, as they all go for building cars, as well as it could be a design fault on something connected to the rack. Depending if electric or fluid based.
Would a safety call be considered as a right to reject?

I just used details of car & not reg number.
As I wondered if it was a official safety recall or as many manufactures do a simple service recall, which never appear on Gov site.Life in the slow lane1 -
I think the OP needs to keep this as simple as they can with any communications.
I understand the deep annoyance at having two cars both with issues, but the first car was dealt with an all matters closed when that was traded in. The second car is a new line in the sand and any reference to the first car is only likely to create confusion and delay.2 -

Is that website literally saying that only one, single vehicle is affected by that recall?

For the UK yes, there is 1 vehicle in the recall, globally there will no doubt be more.
The build dates affected are from 05/04/2024 to 09/08/2024

The OP is very unlucky to be the only one, but at least that means there are not thousands waiting for the same part.1 -

Is it possible that there could be other cars manufactured by Fiat or other group companies that have the same components and the same fault, but simply do not show under the recall when selected by model for the 600?
If it is truly just one vehicle then I am impressed that the recall has actually happened and the car involved swiftly identified.1 -
