Good morning, it's raining here.
Yesterday was a terrible day, non stop rain, so I didn't go out. Might risk it today though.
Spent the day doing housework and a bit of sewing.
I don't know what's happening today, probably not much!
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day, take care folks.

Good morning, not long back from walking the dog (2nd walk as he has too much energy) had to change my clothes because of getting wet.
Having a few cuppas before I go for my reiki session then back home in the warm and not leaving the house xTrying to change my life and will:money:12 -
Morning All
Very wet and windy here, wind woke me at 3 and couldn't really get back to sleep even after closing bedroom windows.
DH still snoring away contentedly.
Need to go to DD to pick up broken tv to take to the tip, and do a little shopping.
Our local cafe is doing things for Mcmillan today. They have put a lot of effort in so hope folks still manage to go.
DP1 so glad to hear little one is home x
Keep safe,dry and warm
Hugs to all that want them

Good morning all - it's very cold here though the beautiful blazing red sky last night promises much. Right now there's one big fluffy pink'ish cloud drifting lazily past my window. Last night's promises may be worthless.A big pot of lentil, leek and carrot soup was made yesterday, I think it needs a touch of chilli to pep it up. Have to say that it never looks attractive, more a sludge than minestrone, but hearty. I nipped out to buy a freshly made rye loaf, they come all the way from Glasgow on Thursdays so it's a treat each time. The gardener cleared a large area of dead foliage and weeds, there's more to do so she'll come again next week. Apart from all that I did mostly SFA, watching TV and reading. Overnight I was disturbed by the sound of rutting stags bellowing. So, cow bull silent, deer bulls manic. This morning I'm off down the pennisula for another hair cut and colour. After the last time I seriously contemplated not having the colour done, then I saw the photos from during the visit to Germany in August and decided that my hair looked really good so...I'm having it done again! The blooming smart meter's little display unit has a flat battery, after a week, which makes me think it's been lying around for too long. I've email e.on to ask for a new battery though I doubt they'll bother. It was lovely to read your late post @DP1. My fingers are still crossed for your little one.Right, off for another coffee to fortify me for the drive, with a bit of luck the views across to Arran should be spectacular this morning.11

Morning, still dark and raining here. Yesterday's rain didn't happen, it turned out to be a dry and mild day.
Mehefin, I loved reading your happy memories of your past dogs. Our previous pup was a German Shepherd who loved to stomp in puddles. I swear she had a big grin on her face while doing so. This pup is a big butch Belgian shepherd who puts his head out of the door and if a raindrop falls on him tries to duck back in. You should see the expression on his face it he has to go out in the rain. They are such characters.
I may have to pop to the shops as after my stock up I somehow managed to forget to buy sugar. Neither Dh or I take sugar in hot drinks but I need some for cooking. It's not urgent so I'll decide later.
Salmon, new potatoes and broccoli tonight with parsley sauce. Last night was belly pork with chips, mushrooms and tomatoes.
Enough waffling from me, lets see if I can get big dog off his bed and out.
Have a good day.
Love to all x9 -
Morning! It's just miserable again today, but on the plus side, I get to go and see what allotment I'll be having, fingers crossed it's not too overgrown..Scred is down and looking lovley and of course one of the cats went for a walk in it, cue me shouting, cue them trying to pick their way out as fast as possible. The extra screed went out the back but the foxes have been digging in it obviously so that needs squashing back down again. If it wasn' raining I mighthave had a go at flattening it again. I picked most of the tree spinach yesterday ad cooked it so that's the chop and freeze today [definitely going to make a torta salata, got my cousins recipe, hers was fab, fingers crossed for mine] and I think I'll pick what's left of the tomatoes and cook them for sauce. Lots of green ones to pick so a recipe search later is on the cards too. If there's not many they usually go in picalilli [I can never spell that] but there's a lot this year/dp1, glad to hear she's properly home now...Gers, have a lovely drive and enjoy movie star hair!
remmie, that's quite funny and I have to say, I'm on his side...I know I won't melt but still...nan, my hair is already white! started going at 23, now mostly white at 55. I hpe you have a relaxing weekend! snoozer, omg, porchetta! When I eventually have a nice big oven, I might even give that a go. But yeah, less meat, better quality is a good way to go. weenancy, I'm amazed at the stuff you find out, I know using ancestry or whatever is really easy but you can ferret things out of nothing! in awe...Hope everyones ok today, fires on, feet up today!

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope you can get out today.
The sun is shining although it's quite cold and the first load of washing is on the line, another to do once I've been in the shower.
It's September Weekend here so no work today or Monday, I was very confused yesterday as I knew it was Thursday but it felt like Friday! Off to Costco this morning with a friend and her DD, I'm hoping to get a few Christmas presents and stock up on toilet rolls. The petrol is the cheapest around so I've been running on fresh air this week so I can fill up!
Allotments to visit at some point and a tidy up of the garden will keep me busy.
Great news that the little one is home dp1, hopefully she'll be back at school very soon.
Happy haircut day Gers, enjoy the drive.
Good to see you again Nanny, glad you could get away for a break.
Happy Friday! Take care. XX9 -
