Hello team,
I’m trying to fix my gas and electric supply. BG has offered a reasonable deal however the earliest the service can commence is 2nd October which is 2 days after the price cap change.
if I select this plan today for service to start on 2nd Oct would the rate be fixed at the current or new price cap?

If that's the prices on the fix then that's what you will pay from 2nd October.

If you're on SVT now,  you will pay 1 day at the higher October rates before commencing the Fixed rates.
