Cat Tracker HELP Please

For several years, we have had 'Safer Pet' GPS tracking devices on subscription for our small cats. They have been very good and helped us find our cats when they have gone AWOL.
We have been told this week that the company is closing....... next week! We are very disappointed with the short notice, but to their credit they are returning the unused portion of our subs.
BUT
more important than that we need to find some replacement cat trackers. They must be small & light, GPS and not hugely expensive. (Apple airtags won't work for us.)
I'd be very grateful for any suggestions especially if you have first-hand knowledge of UK based suppliers similar to Safer Pet.
Thank you

Has the closing company suggested an alternative?
What about asking your vet?? Or some other local experts - cat's protection for instance?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Thank you for responding Brie. No answer from Safer Pet, I never thought about asking our vet or Cats Protection.

I've tried many different trackers and the best is Pawfit especially in a bad signal area0

I’ve just looked and the Pawfit website is still open and appears to be accepting subscriptions. Do you think there may have been a change of plan on their part?0

I’ve just looked a sorry - correction to original comment! But I’ve just looked and the Safer Pet website still seems to be accepting subscription applications. Do you think there could have been a change of plan?0

I saw that! which I think is bad. I emailed them and they confirmed they are closing. I'm expecting my refund tomorrow! I found a company who have a very similar product so I've ordered from them. Fingers crossed.0

Have you looked at Tractive? They do all sizes from cats to big dogs. I'm in a bad signal area at my house but if he goes farther away, the signal gets better and I can find him!

Thank you SheepLady_2 I was very tempted by those but our cats are so tiny that even though they are light they seem very bulky.

I have a Tractive tracker on both my cats. One is a very small, slender tabby. It doesn't bother him at all. He is the one I worried about as he is a roamer and we've lost him a couple of times. He used to have a Pawtrack tracker, but it was very unreliable and the battery life was poor (ultimately they stopped replying when the tracker failed and then went bust). Tractive isn't cheap because of the subscription, but it is light, comes with a very good collar and it works very, very well. I'm well into my second year with my small tabby, and just a year into it with my big ginge.
