Parking Eye Parking Charge

Hi
My son had a Parking Charge Notice ticket from Parking Eye in a College court yard, which did not have any sign previously and that day suddenly it seems that Parking Eye had a sign posted somewhere in the court yard, which my son did not see. Hence, we receive a photo PCN letter with £100 charge. Also, he did make an appeal and they just come back with a letter asking that they want the full name of the driver, in order to transfer the charge to him. For your information, I am the registered keeper of this car. Please, advice

As you are the Registered Keeper of the vehicle, in what capacity did your son appeal?
Clearly he didn't appeal as the driver as ParkingEye are now asking for the name of the driver.
Do not respond to that letter. Wait for the appeal to be rejected.
Once the appeal is rejected, prepare a PoPLA appeal as described in the third post of the NEWBIES thread.
Has your son complained to the college and asked them to get the thing cancelled?0 -
In appeal on his name without mentioning who was the driver.
I will wait for the appeal to be rejected.
My son did not complain to the college, but we could try and ask them to cancel.
Thank you for your KeithP.0 -
I don't think he can sit and wait. He is a third party and they can't be sure he is able to appeal so he won't get a POPLA Code.
He should either:
- admit to driving to hook the POPLA code then appeal based on breach of the BPA CoP rule about new enforcement needing extra signs to warn people of a change;
or
- YOU must instead appeal as registered keeper. Do that quickly so you are the appellant. Them you will get a POPLA Code.

When I scan that 'Scan to pay' graphic I get to see information that you have tried to hide.
E.g. it shows...- the full Parking Charge Reference.
- the full Vehicle Registration Number.

But that's only the front. Like I said:

As long as you are sure that's the back of that first PCN and not the back of the Reminder then you have a golden ticket (see NEWBIES thread) and the driver MUST NOT APPEAL.Do not let him reply.
You must appeal as keeper instead!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
