Many thanks for your time, empathy & insight EssexHebridean
Yes, I have a clear path that the documents were discovered recently.
It was whilst I was sorting out an old floorboard (& found the docs) and organising my mortgage file that I joined the dots up
The point of reference 1
The house I bought had to be big enough to care for my ex's son who found his mother dead just an hour(s) after spending the weekend with us. The 7 year old's dad was the last adult to see the mother of his kid alive. Within months, I was in A & E. Except his little boy wanted me to be his main carer. It took me until a decade later to get a copy of the Coroner's report into the death of the mother of my son's ex. My violent ex lied through his teeth,
Four mortgage companies turned me down when I had to explain the missed months of employment (nobody wants to employee a teacher in a PRU with a black eye).
After fleeing Manchester, the only reason that I got the mortgage with BM was because it was done through a broker who was charmed by the boy and the bond we had - even though I was not his parent.
Point of reference 2
My mortgage company best knew./were in no doubt of the reason that I bought this property.
Except, I'm caught up in a massive scandal that every authority, regulator, ombudsman and Judge/ Magistrate & 3 police forces have wished to cover up. My ex's son was abandoned with us,. GMP failed to warn me that the boy's father was under suspicion of the death of his son's mother. Its a taboo subject that I am only able to best discuss now that the lad is all grown up and independent & right now I have a petition about the child safeguarding issues on Change Org)
Point of reference 3
Up until a fortnight ago, the legal representatives for my mortgage lender retorted that my caring for a child that was not my own, had "nothing to do with your mortgage". Factually incorrect! I did not need a property this big with a long garden in the centre of town. The child short-listed the property from a shortlist of 3. The home was picked with the safeguarding needs of the motherless boy in mind.
So, clearly, like so many of my other records, the child and the reason for my buying the house has been redacted from my mortgage records as the representatives for the mortgage company retorted that the the size of the mortgage had nothing to do with the requirement to house a growing lad too.
RE; Unregulated energy companies
E.ON seemed to behave like bullying gangsters.
Seven months after buying the house, they broke into my property whilst we were at a funeral & switched energy supply off.
HMCTS seemed to not have protected my response, did not bother to check land registry or best protect my Appeal that the bills existed before I bought the place.
The morning after the break-in, in order to get the energy supply reconnected - I was forced to financially resolve ALL of the unpaid bills, that existed before I bought the house and then all of the court fees and warrants.
Still stuck with EON. Offered me compensation over the phone; but nothing in writing.
The energy company took me to court in 4 different counties during COVID. EON-xhausting
So there we have it.
I've been recently diagnosed with Reactive Anxiety Disorder - whatever that means!
About to have my home repossessed on the 30th Sept '24.
Thank you for your time & sticking with me in trying to make sense of it all!0 -
Sounds to me like you may have given the lender your previous address and did not update them.
Sorry you had to go through what you did, i'm sure that was a very tough time.2 -
Were Eon by any chance the provider of energy to the property when you bought it? If you were not reacting to contacts from them if that was the case, that would explain why they were able to get and execute a warrant, I'm afraid.
On the documentation, if you are saying that you recently found documents that you had in a file all along that have helped clarify things for you, then that may not be helpful I'm afraid.
Importantly - have you taken independant legal advice regarding the repossession? Even just via the CAB or similar?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

HI TheJP.
Thank you for your empathy.
I hear you about my providing my previous addresses; but I had to.
Doesn't everyone have to do that as part of the 6 year credit check?
Its one of the reasons that DV/DA victims get entrapped in to relying on welfare & hostiles
As for the mortgage company - here you go.
At 11.57 hrs this morning I wrote;
"2024
I've just found a documents that verified that my mortgage broker had to repeatedly reminded the mortgage company of my correct postal address. (I had not received documents that I had been told had been sent to me). Except, it seems that the mortgage company kept ignoring the mortgage broker's warnings by phone and then by FAX."
Unfortunately, as a newbie - I'm limited in correcting typo's. Sorry, due to sleep deprivation, it may have been a change to decipher?0 -
Greetings EssexHebridean Thank U
Yes, but there was no genuine excuse really?
EO.N
There was a For Sale outside the house for nearly 2 years & then a SOLD SIGN.
Yes, I did let Siemens (meter reader know, twice) then the courts.
When I attempted to take E.ON to court it became a Kafka-esque charade.
E.ON Energy/EON Next are the biggest energy supplier in the UK for a reason!
Back in 2006 EO.N admitted they made an error. EO.N paid half of the fine back & then a month later pursued me for the debt again. They continued to block me retaining my supplier of choice.
The NEIGHBOURS witnessing it all.
The other issue is, that I moved to a gossipy market town. My neighbours had children that attended the school where I taught. Never mind the snobbery about me arriving from "Ooop North", I was teased relentlessly for being a bill dodger.
Anyway - its been such a soap opera, my friends have reached compassion fatigue.

The context is helpful, and naturally raises compassion, but my comments in bold below still apply....thewhistleblowersdog said:Hello user1977 tacpot12 elsien EssexHebridean saajan_12 Schwarzwald & propertyrental
I fled DV & DA over 18 years ago. I worked my socks off to restart my life. Due to the high rents in the area, I sorted out a mortgage loan on a rundown property, whereby the interest based loan was a 3rd cheaper than the rent that I was paying for a tiny terrace. Good for you for shopping around and finding an appropriate mortgage
For 6 weeks I was told that my lender at sent me my mortgage details in the post. But I kept explaining that I had not received them. Neither my mortgage lender or my mortgage broker best explained the error to me. In the end my mortgage contract was sent to me by FAX. I signed it and FAXED it back.Maybe you errobeously put the wrong address somewhere (eg application form) or maybe it was human error by someone at the lend. But either way there was no deliberatee scam or fraud, and no financial loss.
It turns out that my lender had repeatedly sent my financial details and docs to an address in Manchester that my violent ex still had access to. I've recently found a copy of a FAX whereby my mortgage broker reminded the lender of my correspondence address. Except the lender ignored the mortgage brokers written reminder that my correspondence address was the place that I was renting at the time, not my previous Manchester address. The lender continued to send my mortgage papers to the address in Manchester.Again I doubt this was a scam or fraud (how did/could the lender benefit)? Just incompetence.
Then, whilst redecorating, I found evidence that after I signed the mortgage contract, the lender responded to my signed contract by sending writing to the address of the property that I had not purchased yet.You mean the property you were buying and where you now live? See comment above.
18 years later, I now realise the reason that my violent ex was able to find out the location of my new home in Suffolk. He continued to harass me, threatening and terrorise me - after I thought I had found a Safe Refuge from him at the other end of the UK. I sympathise - I really do. But what action did the police take and what suport did you receive from the abuse support charities and/or authorities? This was surely an abuse issue, albeit exacerbated by te lender's incompetance.
The error by the lender may explain the reason that I was burdened with the fines and warrants of unpaid bills by the former homeowner of the property that I had purchased. When I purchased the property, I continued with my direct debit with the energy companies I had joined through U Switch when I was renting. Why did you not cancel your DDs as is normal practice when moving. I don't see the relevance wirh the lender's actions. Why did you not do as you did when moving before? Use U Switch and close your accounts when you moved out?
I use the term "fraud" because;
If my mortgage company had best complied with one of the dozen Subject Access Requests that I had made to them between 2009 and 2024; I would've have had a better understanding of issues that have perplexed me and impacted on me within months of my purchasing the property that I became too ill ( and beaten-up) to maintain the mortgage. The issue when purchasing seems to be that you did not close the old accounts and take on new ones.As before, what did the police do about the physical assults?I know I sound dumb here - but as the song goes " I can see clearly now ...".Within years of my purchasing the property, I had a breakdown.I'm afraid i still see no sign of a TRICK, nor a scam, nor fraud - just some incompetence on top of your unfortunate personal life.

It sounds like you have been through a really difficult situation, and I can understand if you're currently in the process of being repossessed things are still feeling really difficult.
I don't want to minimise any of what you've experienced, and maybe there were mistakes made in the past, but I think you're expending your energy on trying to fight something that has already happened, which is unlikely to ever resolve your current situation. Maybe it's time to draw a line under what has happened and focus your efforts on what is in your control now to improve your situation, for the sake of your wellbeing. I'm wondering if you ever received any counselling to help you process what happened?
In terms of the energy issue, when you move house it isn't as simple as 'taking your account with you' from your previous address. You have to close that account and pay your final bill with that supplier. You then take over the energy at your new house with whoever is currently supplying that address and have to create an account with them, before you can switch to a supplier of your choice. If you never created an account with Eon when you moved in, and instead tried to keep paying your previous supplier, this is likely why they took action.4 -
Eon weren’t stopping your previous energy supplier to continue an account at the new property - there would have been no account as Eon were still the supplier to the property. In fact Eon did at least stop you continuing to pay your old supplier for a service you were no longer getting - while you were also liable to pay them. Telling the meter reader wouldn’t have achieved anything - honestly, he would just have thought “alright love” taken the reading and then moved on to his next call. If you didn’t close off the account at your previous home you were probably fortunate not to be pursued for that, too, if I’m honest!I have to say I’m inclined to agree with those saying that you need to try to find a way of moving on here. I entirely understand why it feels you need to find someone to blame - but actually the right party to direct that feeling towards is your ex partner. You were so strong to walk away from that relationship, yet as things are you are still allowing it to have power over you by creating this bitterness. Have you looked into getting some counselling in order to try to be able to start afresh? It would really be a shame if someone as unpleasant S your ex was able to destroy the rest of your life - you deserve so much better than that!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
