Anyway it seems Currys have done the decent thing here and are offering me the extra amount to purchase a third party one via a BACS payment.

Unless you meant to say that it's Currys that's sending you the money via BACS?0 -

Currys are offering me a payment via BACS.
I would never purchase anything on a third party seller site through BACS.Where the !!!! has the Shrug gone!

Nice result OP, thanks for letting us know

That's an excellent result.
I'd have thought that the OP could well have had a valid loss of bargain claim in the circumstances, but Currys have done the right thing anyway.
(Just to add - I've never bought anything online from either currys or Sports direct - who both always get a bad press on here - but I use their stores a few times a year. I've never had any problems with either - including exchanging goods bought instore)0 -
Can you let us know how easy it was to get that payment one received.chompie said:Anyway it seems Currys have done the decent thing here and are offering me the extra amount to purchase a third party one via a BACS payment.

Payment received today by BACS.
I'd like to thank Resolver, which i had no intention of getting involved but in looking for a contact email for Currys the only one i could find via google was on the Resolver site and that led me to making the claim via them.Where the !!!! has the Shrug gone!
